Dance Competition
My God Daughter "Joey" who is about 10 years of age (give or take a couple of years) is entering an Irish dancing competition this Sunday.
I'll take some photo's and post the best here to show you.
I must say I'm very proud of her, but for some strange reason she looks up to me for inspiration. I reckon in about 3 years time she'll be showing me a thing or two.
Good luck Joey,
Uncle Jim x

Beer was drunk by adults
Well a 6am start on Sunday morning was worth it as Joey did her Irish dancing competition. After applying the make-up and wig, she did 4 dances and got 2 medals for her "jigs".
Think about possibly over 100 kids competing, all looking fabulous in their special dresses, wigs and glitter!
We're very proud of Joey, she did herself and us proud :-)

p.s., I was completely the "stage aunty", could you imagine what I'd be like if I had kids!!
Being the mad auntie to four lovely Irish dancers aged between 17 and 5, I completely agree with the "stage aunty" line - I cry so much with pride that I cannot imaging being able to watch them at all if they were mine.
Well done Jade (Joey)!
So when is Dance Riviera going to do its own version of River Dance ... Riviera Dance???
Christine
xxxx (one for each of them)
